School of Missional Entrepreneurship


What are the key elements of the program?

1. Topical lectures delivered by GLU faculty business leader lecturers

- Core business and entrepreneurial topics

- Entrepreneurial leadership

2. Case studies from Christian entrepreneurs

3. Experiential learning

- Project works

- Preparing a business plan for an entrepreneurial idea and presenting in a judged “competition”

- Internships/work experience

4. Courses and materials will be delivered in English

5. Combination of On-line with on-demand modules and live classroom instruction

6. Program is a 4-year degree program

7. 4-year degree requires completion of 16 courses per year.

- There are four 8-week blocks during the year and 4 courses offered in each of the four blocks.

- Each course is 3 hours/week or 24 hours/course in total.


What will I learn in the program?

1. The School of Entrepreneurship program will enable you to learn

- Entrepreneurship skills

- Leadership skills

- Develop your abilities in basic functional business areas such as sales & marketing and accounting & finance.

2. The first-year curriculum currently being developed is expected to include:

- Do you have an entrepreneurial mindset?

- Introduction to business concepts

- Recognizing & evaluating business opportunities

- Understanding potential Customers

- ‘Making a profit” – basic business accounting

- Your “unique value proposition” – basic sales & marketing concepts

- Understanding competition and competitive advantage

- Developing the traits of successful entrepreneurs


How will the program differ from other business schools?

1. Entrepreneurial leadership and business skills taught within the context of biblical principles

2. Combination of lecture, reading and practical, group and individual projects

3. Content will draw upon examples from the Philippines, Asia and internationally

4. Curriculum co-developed with School of Entrepreneurship Advisory Board of regional entrepreneurs

Bryan Pearce He spent his 38 year career with EY as Global Leader - Entrepreneurship, overseeing the EY Entrepreneur of the Year, the world’s most prestigious business awards program for entrepreneurs. He is passionate about training the next generation of leaders for the gospel, and is serving with GLU to spearhead a team of professionals at the School of Missional Entrepreneurship.
